Dr Nick Papageorgiou graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2007 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. In 2010, Nick took over ownership of Gawler Place Dental.

He enjoys a wide range of dentistry with a particular interest in the preventative, restorative and implant aspects. Nick attends local and national courses to keep up to date with the latest guidelines and techniques in dentistry, to bring the best care to his patients.

Spending time to discuss and understand each patient’s requests and concerns is important to him, as he understands that some patients can have deep anxiety when visiting the dentist.

Outside of dentistry he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Ellen joined Gawler Place Dental as a trainee in 2011, working as a Dental Assistant alongside Dr Nick Papageorgiou until the birth of her second child in 2012.

After taking some time off to raise her family, Ellen returned to study and graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Oral Hygiene in 2017. Since gaining her qualification, Ellen has continued to develop her skills through further studies and training.

Providing in-chair teeth whitening is one of Ellen’s favourite parts of her job, along with being able to provide our patients with effective ways to help maintain their oral health.

She enjoys spending time to educate our patients, as every patient is different and may require different tips, tools and care during and after hygiene treatments.

Thu graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2016 with a Bachelor of Oral Health.

She has worked in a variety of general dental and orthodontic clinics, gaining broad experience in patient care. After taking a year off for maternity leave, she joined the team at Gawler Place Dental in 2024.

Thu enjoys all aspects of preventive dentistry, with a particular interest in supporting anxious or nervous patients. She takes the time to ensure each patient feels comfortable and well cared for during their visits.

Outside of work, Thu enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. Together, they love exploring new cafés and discovering family-friendly spots around Adelaide.
